Through efforts championed by Meals on Wheels Texas (MOWT) and our friends at H-E-B, Meals on Wheels of Williamson and Burnet Counties has received a grant from H-E-B to support congregate and home delivered meals in Bastrop, Burnet, Caldwell (Luling, Lockhart), Hays, Lampasas , Llano, and Williamson counties. Special thanks to Tamra Jones, a Public Affairs Manager at H-E-B in Central Texas, for her efforts in the distribution of this grant.
The Meals on Wheels Texas board, who received the initial grant from H-E-B, has awarded Opportunities for Williamson and Burnet Counties $33,200.00 for COVID-19 relief.
With these funds, Meals on Wheels will be able to continue serving clients in both counties. These funds also allow Opportunities for Williamson and Burnet Counties (OWBC) to continue paying staff to prepare meals for our senior neighbors in need.
