Our Community Services programs are what makes OWBC a Community Action Agency. The programs and services provided by our Community Services department help transition low-income community members out of poverty through financial assistance, education, and coaching.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program+
Our Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program (CEAP) provides financial assistance for qualifying households who need help covering their energy bills (electricity, gas, and propane).
Water assistance is limited to clients served by the following cities: Burnet, Marble Falls, Hutto, Bartlett, Georgetown, Taylor, Leander, Liberty Hill and customers of Durham Park and Corix Utilities.
EDUCATION & COACHING
Self-Sufficiency Program (Community Services Block Grant/CSBG)+
Our Self-Sufficiency Program administers case management services to households that are looking to transition out of poverty.
