Amplify Austin looked a little different this year for many Williamson County Nonprofits. I Live Here I Give Here started a new campaign called Amplify Wilco just for Williamson County Nonprofits! With Amplify Wilco in full effect, several Wilco Nonprofits joined together around Georgetown’s Square to kick off the 24-hour day of giving.
Our Amplify After Hour event was a success, with over 50 people stopping by to show their support for Meals on Wheels for Williamson and Burnet Counties.
Our Meals on Wheels program provides a hot, nutritious meal five days a week to seniors in need. In addition to food, our volunteers provide a much-needed wellness check each day to ensure our seniors are doing well. When possible, we also try to offer extras, like hygiene kits, shelf stable meals, bread, food for pets, and more. When we participate in fundraisers like this, we not only raise money for food, but also for these “extras.”
This year our goal was $15,000, thanks to your collective giving, Meals on Wheels for Williamson & Burnet Counties raised $17,451 from over 90 donors! Together, we are making a positive difference for seniors in our community. THANK YOU!
