On Monday, April 6, Head Start began serving drive-through meals for Head Start families. Meals include breakfast, lunch, and a snack, and are available from 12:00pm-12:30pm Monday through Friday.
Meals will be curbside delivery and will be served in individual bags. Parents should bring children to the meal pick up, but keep them safely inside the vehicle.
If possible, we are asking parents to open a trunk or tailgate and staff can directly place food in the vehicle to limit any direct contact. Parents and children should not get out of vehicle. Parents can pick up food at their child’s Early Head Start/Head Start centers. We encourage our Head Start families to pick up these meals, even if they are picking up food for older siblings at the school campuses. Our meals specifically meet the nutritional requirements for infants, toddlers and preschoolers.
