The Community Room at our Highview Retirement Village has a fresh new look thanks to the Highland Lakes Service League. New blinds were donated by Teresa Carosella and Custom Creations and Designs & Interiors. This room is where Meals on Wheels deliveries go out for the Marble Falls area and where congregate meals are served to local seniors. Pamela Gilliam is the property Manager and she is employed by Opportunities for Williamson and Burnet Counties. Opportunities Board Member Kathy Nicholl was also on hand to stand in for the Service League. Clients and staff felt the room looked fairly dated and dull and the Highland Lakes Service League came in to paint and brighten it with some new artwork and while Teresa donated the blinds to finish it for now. There are new round tables, so there is a more community feel and the seniors seem really pleased. Highview Retirement Village is at 200 Hwy 1431 in Marble Falls.
