Wag Heaven, a pet food provider in Georgetown, recently donated countless bags of dog and cat food to our Meals on Wheels’ Pet Program. Through our Pet Program, we collect donations of dog and cat food for our seniors’ furry friends.
Many of our Meals on Wheels seniors own a dog or cat. Since homebound seniors in our community can face isolation, pets provide a sense of comfort and companionship. When we provide food for seniors’ support animals, our homebound seniors do not have to leave the house or consider sharing their own meals with their pet.
