Amplify Austin, a 24 hour period of online giving and local generosity in Central Texas, has come to an end. This year, our goal was to raise $15,000 for Meals on Wheels of Williamson and Burnet Counties.
Our Meals on Wheels program provides a hot, nutritious meal five days a week to seniors in need. In addition to food, our volunteers provide a much-needed wellness check each day to ensure our seniors are doing well. When possible, we also try to offer extras, like hygiene kits, shelf stable meals, bread, food for pets, and more. When we participate in fundraisers like this, we not only raise money for food, but also for these “extras.”
This year, we surpassed our $15,000 goal and raised $15,457 for Meals on Wheels. Check out our Facebook post below to see how many more seniors we can feed with that funding!
