Pre-Screening Questions:

1. Do you live within Williamson or Burnet County?
2. Can you provide verification of household income for ALL residents 18+ years of age? Income history must be from the last 30 days! (ex: you apply on Sept. 30, we need income from Sept. 1-30)
3. Can you provide an energy bill? (You may provide up to 2 sources for electricity, natural gas, and/or propane)
4. Is the applicant an account holder or authorized user on the utility account?
5. Can at least 1 household member provide proof of citizenship and ID? (Disclaimer: the more household members that provide citizenship, the greater chance of approval)

READ BEFORE STARTING YOUR APPLICATION

INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS CREATE A DELAY IN PROCESSING!

1. Be prepared BEFORE you start.
2. Take your time. Find a work space to concentrate. The application may take up to 20 minutes to complete. 
3. Address each section of the application. We are unable to process incomplete applications.
4. Include information for all minors and adults living in the home.
5. This program is income-based. We require income history for the last 30 days for all household members 18 yrs and older.
6. If you receive SNAP benefits, please provide your award letter.
7. This program requires proof of citizenship and ID for at least one household member, though you are encouraged to provide as many as possible.
8. Pay attention to prompts – Next Steps / Specific fields not addressed / Requirements
9. Your signature is REQUIRED – All applications must be signed electronically or by hand.

List of Required Documents to Upload

 

1. Required Documents should be in PDF or JPEG format. 
2. Provide Proof of Income for each household member 18 years and older (pay stubs, unemployment, SNAP letter, child support, or award letters from last 30 days).
3. Complete the SAVE Form (included in the application) and provide Proof of Identification and US Citizenship/Legal Residence or Qualified Alien documents (driver’s license, passport, birth certificate, naturalization papers).
4. Include a Copy of Your Current Utility Bill(s). ( Atmos & City of Austin customers must also provide signed releases of information)

PLEASE NOTE APPLICATIONS MAY TAKE UP TO 90 DAYS TO BE PROCESSED FROM THE DATE WE CONFIRM YOU PROVIDED A COMPLETE APPLICATION. YOU WILL RECEIVE A LETTER CONFIRMING IF YOUR APPLICATION WAS COMPLETE.

We have limited funding available and are prioritizing vulnerable households. Our most vulnerable applicants are seniors, individuals receiving disability income, households with children 5 years of age and younger.
